I am originally from Bavaria, where I started my journey, and I arrived in the UK 1996. I worked until 2004 in management roles. In 2005 I changed my career from being a full-on business woman to a complementary therapist.
My first qualification was the Dr Bach Flower Remedies Practitioner. I have been practising with the Bach Flower Remedies for almost 20 years. After this I studied at Kendal college for four years, qualifying in Beauty Level 3, Indian Head Massage, Holistic Therapies, Advanced Reflexology, Remedial Massage, Sports Therapy Massage, Clinical Aromatherapy, and Stress Management. In my final two years at Kendal College I gained a distinction in the Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care (Holistic Therapies). I then went to Salford University and graduated (Bachelor of Science) 2009 in Integrated Therapies - Complementary Thearapies with a First Class Degree. In addition to the fore-mentioned qualifications, I am a certified Hypnotherapist and NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) practitioner. I am also a EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) practitioner, a Reiki Master and teacher. I have studied the foundation year in Transactional Analysis at Leeds Psychotherapy Training Institute and I have taken part in various workshops in this field. Furthermore, I am a MFN (Mindfulness) teacher focussing on enhanced resilience. I develop my skills and knowledge through constant continuous professional development. In addition I am a teacher in adult education and teach complementary therapy courses and workshops.
My philosophy is that people's mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual aspects are all interconnected. An imbalance between these aspects will lead to psychological or physical health issues. I believe that everyone has the potential within to achieve a happier and healthier life. I am passionate about using my skills to help people to unlock this potential.
I am an intuitive and caring therapist who brings together theory and practice from a wide range of therapy approaches and clinical experience to help clients to achieve and maintain holistic health. I believe that everyone is a unique expression of life. And because of that ALL therapy sessions at the Holistic Health Clinic are tailored to suit the individual's need.
I work with clients of all ages including children. I have gathered much experience in working with children and challenging young people in residential settings since 2006. I also have taken part in various youth projects.
I am originally from Cumbria.I first qualified as a complementary therapist in 1996. I trained in Swedish massage, Aromatherapy, and Reflexology.
This was the start of my journey! I have since dedicated my working life to healing, well-being, and spiritual growth.
I continued studying as I worked and traveled abroad. I left the UK in 1998 and worked in Bermuda for many Years. There I qualified in Indian Head Massage, Hot Stone Massage, and became a Reiki level 1 and 2 practitioner.
I then qualified in Thai Massage on my travels in North Thailand. I qualified after that in Tibetan Massage in the Tibetan Community in North India. This type of treatment resonated deeply with me. I also qualified as a Reiki Master and teacher in India which was in 2008. From here it was where my spiritual journey started.
2009 I returned to the UK where I have settled back in the beautiful Lake District. I now work intuitively with a creative combination of many massage techniques from around the world that merge into a flowing deeply relaxing oil massage.
In 2016 I traveled to Nepal and became a Yoga Teacher. There I rediscovered my passion with the Tibetan Healing System. I now specialise in Tibetan Massage.
On my life journey I have discovered that spiritual energy and health are inseparable and should be treated as a whole; Mind - Body - and Spirit.
After experiencing a chronic back injury in 2003 I found that conventional healthcare had nothing to offer, while complementary treatments had astonishingly positive results. With his curiosity awakened I trained in Indian Head Massage, Swedish Massage, Reflexology, Reiki, Lomi Lomi, and Integrated Myo Fascial Release with John Barnes. I have found Myo Fascial Release to be particularly effective and have focused my work on this since 2009.
In 2009 I qualified as a Temple Style Lomi Lomi Practitioner on Kauai, continuing my training in 2011 and up to the present date.
In November 2010 I graduated as a fully certificated Myo Fascial Release Therapist. I regularly go to America to continue training with John Barnes and my areas of expertise include : MFR (Myo Fascial Release) for the Spine and Sacrum, MFR for Breast Health (useful pre and post surgery), MFR for abdominal scar tissue and adhesions, MFR for the TMJ (Tempomandibular Joint- Jaw), Unwinding for the whole body, Advanced Myo Fascial Therapy
